How can I place an order over the web?

Ruud Lighting Inc. (RLI) sells directly to electrical distributors, contractors and selected National Accounts. Outside of the United States and Canada, RLI products may be purchased through our authorized distributors only. If you are a current customer and wish to gain access to our on-line purchase program, please submit a Login Request Form or call Customer Service at (800) 236-7000. Step by Step Instructions HERE.

What if I'm not sure I'm ordering the right product?

Our Customer Service, Technical Support and Applications departments are available at (800) 236-7000 to assist you in selecting the right product for the job. All orders placed over the web will be reviewed by a Customer Service representative. If something doesn't look quite right, we'll give you a call.

How do I become a Gold Customer?

I need a 24 hour notice for delivery. How will you notify me?

When you "check out", you will be given an opportunity to select "24 Hour Call Ahead". This will flag your carrier that a 24 hour notice is required prior to delivery.

What if I order the wrong product?

New, unopened Ruud Lighting products, returned with our prior authorization and in re-saleable condition, will be considered for credit. A minimum of 15 percent is deducted from all credits to cover our inspection, re-testing and re-cartoning costs. Returning RLI poles receive an additional $5-per-foot deduction. Final credit determined after our inspection. C.O.D. shipments will not be accepted. Contact our Technical Support Department for a Returned Goods Authorization Number (RGA #).

How do I download a photometric (.ies) file?

Photometric files are located under PRODUCT LINES>SPECIFICATIONS. Select the IES FILES drop-down box from the products listed in each family.

To download ALL photometric files, select ALL IES FILES from the left navigation bar.

To download the photometric file to your disk:
Internet Explorer users should right-click the link and select "Save Target As..."

Netscape Users should click the link. This will allow you to save the file to disk.

Why does Ruud Lighting charge sales tax on web purchases?

Ruud Lighting has nexus in every U.S. state. To have nexus means to have sufficient presence in a state to allow the state to legally impose tax. For more information on nexus, see E-Commerce: United States Sales and Use Tax Considerations
